Job Description:
Responsibilities:

-Deliver computational analyses of different data like clinical data, RNAseq, NGS, molecular profiling, proteomics, mutation, methylation databases (mostly cancer related data) to find the potential biomarkers and signature patterns of multiple drugs.

-Work with the computational and data analyst team at lantern pharma to find new data sources and discover novel computational methods / machine learning techniques to benefit the Lantern Pharma mission.

-The candidate will be involved in developing bioinformatics pipelines to automate established analysis, supporting the clinical reporting team, and assisting in developing new diagnostic assays.

In addition, the computational biologist will lead analysis efforts on projects to integrate clinical and pre-clinical datasets to identify ‘druggable’ tumor signaling pathways and biomarkers that might guide clinical trial enrollment.

Qualifications:

*Must have Ph.D. in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer science, Data analytics, Applied Mathematics or other related field.

*More than 2 years of relevant experience in developing algorithms/machine learning techniques & data analysis specifically for biological / cancer related data.

*Background in human biology or medicine with understanding and curiosity of cancer pathophysiology / biological processes / mechanisms is preferred.

*Expertise in delivering insights and hypotheses from complex multi-dimensional biological data in a biomedical context.

*Proficiency in programming, querying, scripting or statistical analysis languages such as R, python, perl. (preferably R)

*The candidate must be currently living in USA.
