Sema4 is seeking talented, self-motivated individuals to participate in the development of leading edge software in translational bioinformatics. Successful applicants will be part of an interdisciplinary team that develops rich web user interface, computational methods and databases to annotate and interpret large-scale human genome and exome sequencing data to better understand cancer mutations, genetics of Mendelian and complex diseases. Successful applicants will also play a role in developing systems for integrating novel informatics and genomic tools and methodologies into clinical practice. - Extensive experience with node.js and any of frameworks like express or Angular
- Experience integrating MySQL/PostgreSQL with node.js and query performance optimization
- Experience with bioinformatics (Python / R)
- Experience running web applications in the cloud (Amazon, Google, Linode, etc)
- Experience with jquery DataTables
- Experience with D3/svg visualizations
- Background in statistics
- Some experience with cancer genomics and public genomic/protein databases
- Maintaining and developing complex web applications with node.js/express + MySQL Backend and web UI based on jquery DataTables and D3/svg based dynamic visualization front-end for the analysis and visualization of patients genomic data in cancer and disease.
- Parsing(sometimes) poorly structured molecular databases.
- Maintaining complex MySQL database.
Requeriments :
- M.Sc. or higher Degree in Bioinformatics
- M.Sc. or higher Degree in Computer Science
- M.Sc. or higher Degree in Statistics
