Job Duties:
- Participate in research. Collect data and perform analysis. Write scientific papers.
- Attend and participate in seminars and conferences. Engage in individual and collaborative scientific discoveries. Interact with MATH MS students on regular basis. Perform other duties as assigned.
- Doctoral degree in statistics, biostatistics or bioinformatics or closely related areas.
- Strong commitment to scholarly research. Strong research background with previous professional activities related to genomics.
- Expertise in the following areas: Strong background in statistical methodology, including the working knowledge of methods rooted in genomics. Good verbal/written communication skills and a record of collaborative research activities
- Basic competency in statistical language R, and packages SAS and SPSS
- Detail-oriented, highly motivated, and committed
