Hur lab in the Department of Biomedical Sciences, School of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of North Dakota, is seeking a post-doctoral research fellow in bioinformatics and systems pharmacology areas. The broad interest of Hur lab is to understand the pathogenic mechanisms of diabetic peripheral neuropathy and to identify drug candidates using computational approaches.

The position is part of an interdisciplinary network including clinicians and pharmacologist. The research in this post-doctoral position will focus on the analysis of multiple omics data, which include but not limited to microarray and RNA-Seq transcriptomic data, gene/protein interactome, and pharmacological networks. Candidates are also expected to interact with faculty, staff, and students at UND in the School of Medicine and Health Sciences as well as our collaborators at University of Michigan and US FDA.

The successful candidate will work in one or more of the following areas:
- Applying systems biology approaches to gain key insights into the pathogenic mechanisms of diabetic peripheral neuropathy
- Developing a drug-candidate identification and prioritization system integrating multiple layers of omics data, drug databases, and drug-perturbation gene profiling data (CMap and LINCS).

This is a full-time, benefitted position and will be offered for an initial period of 1-2 years, with a possibility of extension to 3 additional years subject to performance and the desire on both parties to continue. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
