Job Description:
Postdoctoral positions are now available in the Li laboratory at The Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, to study the underlying cause(s) of sex differences in development and cancer. Men and women share robust differences in their susceptibility to various autoimmune and infectious diseases. In addition, men are much more likely than women to develop and die from cancer. Projects for the positions will investigate possible genetic, epigenetic, hormonal and immunological mechansims that lead to the sex differences in development and cancer. Candidates with strong publication record and a PhD in developmental biology, genetics, molecular biology, immunology, bioinformatics or closely related field will be considered. The laboratory uses state-of-the-art mouse genetic, genomic, immunological, molecular, cell and developmental biological approaches, and is embeded in the strong collaborative research environment.
