A2 Biotherapeutics is seeking a highly motivated individual with experience in the fields of bioinformatics and immunology, or cancer immunotherapy. The successful candidate will join the Drug Discovery group at our research facility in Westlake Village, CA and work in a dynamic and fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities:
- Application of modern techniques in bioinformatics and statistical analysis to advance discovery programs
- Work cross-functionally to identify and validate disease targets and interrogate drug safety.
- Analysis of large data sets, including gene-expression and next generation sequencing (NGS) data.
- Strong background in biology, in the areas of immunology, inflammation or cancer biology.
- Highly motivated, innovative, proactive & enthusiastic team player demonstrating flexibility, a willingness to learn & a great sense of urgency
- An ability to prioritize effectively & utilize resources efficiently coupled with strong organizational, interpersonal as well as verbal & written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills that enable effective management and resolution of complex project-related issues involving collaborations with multiple functional areas
- Demonstrated track record of independent critical thinking and scientific achievement.
- Familiarity with NGS methods, and hands-on experience with NGS data handling and analysis.
- Proficiency in at least two programming languages (e.g., Python, Java etc).
- Understanding of mathmatics/statistical concepts and hands-on experience with tools (e.g., R, Matlab etc). Ability to develop customized bioinformatics tools is a plus
- Experience with large-scale data mining from data repositories (eg. TCGA, GTEx, etc) and data analysis.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: Doctorate degree OR Master’s degree & 4 years of scientific experience OR OR Bachelor’s degree & 6 years of scientific experience Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Genomics or related area.Requeriments :
