Requirements
* Participate in collaborative design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of Bioinformatics solutions used to support GHI’s high throughput commercial laboratory. * Serve as a champion on providing and promoting software engineering best practices and standards. * Serve as a software engineering technical lead and contact for the R&D organization to influence architectural decisions and direction. * Work closely with R&D to understand process workflows, bioinformatics pipeline, and integrations in order to deliver production grade bioinformatics solutions. * Work closely with product development and business analysts to understand requirements and propose solutions and tools, develop prototypes, and deliver and implement solutions. * Design and implement solutions within existing R&D COTS solutions, both on-premise and in the Cloud, including the collaboration and integration of third-party service providers. * Identify opportunities for leveraging common tools, infrastructure and solutions across functional areas. * Coordinate with cross-functional groups in R&D and Data Management to prototype and implement production grade solutions. * Participate in the exploration and implementation of new Bioinformatics solutions. * B.S., M.S. in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Engineering, or related science or engineering fields * 6+ years of experience as a software engineer * Demonstrated hands on experience developing complex software solutions. * Proficiency with the Unix/Linux operating system and one or more of following languages (Python, Ruby, Java). * Experience with SOA and related technologies (REST, SOAP, JSON, etc.) * Experience in distributed computing environment utilizing Unix/Linux (SGE, LSF, Hadoop). * Experience using established engineering methodologies through all stages of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) * Experience with laboratory workflows, process and LIMS (StarLIMS, Genologics, IDBS, etc…) * Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills with ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical people (e.g., end-users) * Proactive self-starter, results driven, and quality focused DESIRED * Experience developing complex NGS data management, tracking, and/or processing pipelines in a high-throughput commercial laboratory. * Experience with Cloud platforms and tools (AWS, Azure, Cloud Formation, etc…) * Experience developing software in a HIPAA, CLIA regulated environments Apply Here: http://www.Click2Apply.net/fhzqm66gsf PI92228803Requeriments :
