Job Description:
SR. STAFF BIOINFORMATICS ENGINEER. Requires Master’s degree in Computer Engineering plus two years of experience as Sr. Staff Bioinformatics Engineer or Staff Engineer. Minimum two years of experience in development of commercial software and data analysis solutions for Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) applications for validated and regulated markets; development and validation of algorithms to analyze nuclear (single nucleotide polymorphism and short tandem repeat) and mitochondrial data; utilizing bioinformatics tools such as bamtools, samtools, picard, alignment, and variant callers such as TMAP and TVC (Torrent Variant Caller); utilizing pipeline management frameworks for data analysis; and developing software using Java, Python, Matlab, Angular JS, jQuery, HTML, and Eclipse RCP/Java swing.
