Maintain responsibility for working closely within a multi-functional team. Maintain scientific help desk office hours during business hours. Provide recommendations for study design, statistical and computational methodologies, and analysis tools. Document best practices and methods for genomic analysis. Develop graphical summaries of available data. Document all issue requests in a ticketing system. Basic Qualifications: -Experience with common open source genomic analysis tools, including PLINK, Eigensoft, and Impute2 -Knowledge of biostatistics and quantitative expertise -Knowledge of common programming languages, including Perl, Python, R, and SAS -Ability to understand scientific literature, analytic methods, and their limitations -Ability to obtain a security clearance -MA or MS degree in Statistical Genetics, Quantitative Genetics, Genetic Epidemiology, Molecular Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or Bioinformatics and 5 years of experience with genome-phenome research studies or PhD or ScD degree in Statistical Genetics, Quantitative Genetics, Genetic Epidemiology, Molecular Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or Bioinformatics and 2 years of experience with genome-phenome research studies Additional Qualifications: -Experience with programming in a UNIX or Linux environment -Experience with data formats and analysis tools for whole exome sequencing or whole genome sequencing -Experience in working with controlled vocabularies and conducting large-scale PheWAS analysis -Experience with rare variant tests, including SKAT -Experience with array-based analysis, gene expression analysis, machine learning methods, data mining, and statistical modeling -Experience with Microsoft Office products, including Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint, Word Documents, and Project -Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including clearly and concisely communicating complex concepts to clients, researchers, and onsite staff -Secret clearance
