Job Description:
Northwestern University is seeking a temporary Part-time Program Assistant for the Chicago campus.

The temporary Web Developer position will be involved in development that includes working with client side web applications developed with ReactJs and Redux frameworks. The development process also involves interacting with RESTful backend and integration of realtime WebSockets technology. All the softwares will be developed openly using the github platform.

The developers will primarily build two ReactJs frontends by replacing our legacy frontpage and gene page web applications. The current working versions of ReactJs stock-center-app are available for candidates to look at. The positions are expected to have some degree of learning and mentoring which will be provided by the dictyBase staff as required.

Undergraduate students and recent graduates are highly encouraged to apply.

Qualifications Required:

B.S in computer science, bioinformatics or a related fields, or B.S with an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Software Required:

-Basic knowledge of web development with client side javascript and HTML/CSS.

-Preferred: Experience with ReactJs and Redux frameworks; experience with node.js development; experience in working with github (collaborative coding and build tools).

-MS Office suite 2013 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
