Recruitment for Tenure Track Faculty in Human Genomics
and Epigenomics


The School of Nursing is ranked first in NIH funding among Schools of Nursing in the United States. The Department of Physiological Nursing is one of four academic departments in the school. In addition, the School has an Organized Research Unit, the Institute for Health and Aging.

Faculty members in the Department of Physiological Nursing are engaged in research generating knowledge about mechanisms underlying disease states and symptomology, and the clinical management of specific symptoms. Areas of faculty expertise include symptom management, genetics, bioengineering, and technology.

Within the Department of Physiological Nursing, the successful candidate will conduct research, teach, and participate in service activities. We are looking for highly motivated and academically outstanding candidates who want to pursue a scientific career in the field of human genomics and epigenomics. We will consider applicants with a background in molecular biology (including functional genomics, human genetics, precision health) who have strong quantitative skills and/or a research interest that would fit well with a transdisciplinary research environment. An ideal candidate would have a background in the computational sciences (bioinformatics, statistics, etc.) and some prior experience with collaborative research in high-throughput biology.
