The Department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics (MBB) conducts a broad spectrum of biomedical research and education within medical biochemistry and biophysics. Presently our department consists of 11 research divisions with a total of approximately 300 employees. The Department of Laboratory Medicine consists of 9 divisions and it is representative for the laboratory medicine in the full sence of the word. The department is involved in advanced basic scientific, clinical and epidemiological research. The department is one of the largest departments of education at Karolinska Institutet. [More]

This project is supported by a larger grant from the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research (SSF) which links competences in imaging with a deep understanding of the clinical needs for new diagnostics and treatment for neuropathological conditions, Alzheimer´s disease, Parkinson´s disease and neurotrauma. [More]
