  • Ability to communicate and present analyses in a clear and concise manner
  • Experience working side by side with molecular biologists
  • A desire to participate in experimental design is a plus
  • Ability to multitask and operate in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment
  • Understanding of human genetics, particularly classes of genetic variation and their intersections with cutting edge molecular technologies
  • Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: java, c, c++ or python
  • Familiarity with current NGS platforms (e.g. Illumina, PacBio) and analysis pipelines and tools (e.g. BWA, GATK, Picard).
  • Bachelors/Masters degree, PhD, or industry experience in a related field
  • Exquisite attention to detail and organization
  • Preferred: Experience in the design and/or analysis of NGS-based assays, amplicon panels or microarrays
  • Preferred: Assay or technology development experience
