The mission of the Bioinformatics and Genomics Department is to develop novel computational approaches to important biological problems, and to provide training in the science that underlies them. - Development of graph databases (NEO4J) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
- Object Oriented Programming (Java, Ruby…etc)
- Javascript and Node.js programming.
- MVC system experience
- Linux experience
- Comfortable with open source
- Shell scripting and R
- MS in Computer Science or related field or BS with equivalent experience. SQL is essential. Experience with Relational Databases (MySQL, Postgres,Oracle) and NoSQL Databases (MongoDB, Cassandra)
- Object Oriented Programming (e.g. Java, C++, C#, Objective-C, Ruby)
- MVC system experience
- Linux experience
- Comfortable with open source
- Batch/Shell scripting
- Biology
- Genetics
- Geography
- Javascript
- Node.js
- Server Administration skills
- Knowledge of the Biosurveillance Ecosystem
