Job Description:
Responsibilities:

  • Perform statistical and bioinformatics analyses of high throughput sequencing data including DNA methylation data, ATAC-seq, RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, exome sequencing, single cell genomics, and GWAS data.
  • Participate in the execution of high throughput sequencing data, which would include cell processing, cell culture, and DNA and RNA extraction.
  • Participate in the design of high throughput sequencing data to study complex autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related science field required and a master's degree preferred in bioinformatics, statistical genetics, or computational biology. 1-2 years experience required. The applicant is expected to be comfortable with computational biology and the statistical analysis of large data sets. Proficiency in programming environments such as R, Java, C++, and the ability to interpret and communicate complex bioinformatics data are required. Professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills. The ability to work and communicate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians and scientists.. The ability to multi-task and sustain a high level of organization while working on several research studies. The ability and desire to write and publish results generated, and deposit large data sets into the public domain.
