Software Developer (Python) – Permanent – Cambridgeshire Competitive salary, Bioinformatics and Genomics! A new Software Developer (strong in Python) is required to join one of the UK’s leading companies in genomics-based research. Our client works closely with other research, commercial and clinical partners on a national and global level, by providing them with their own software platform with the purpose of providing data solutions for diagnosis and treatment of genetic disease. Situated in Cambridgeshire, you will be joining my client as part of their Software Development team, reporting to the Development Team Lead. Main Responsibilities Include:

- Software Developer for their software platform product
- Developing features and improvements for the software platform product
- Fix bugs
- Take part in requirements review
- Write design documentation for change
- Educated at degree level in Computer Science or related field
- Strong knowledge and usage of Python
- Strong knowledge of Flask or Django web frameworks
- Knowledge and experience of unit testing
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux as well as strong relational database experience and knowledge (SQL, ideally PostgreSQL)
- Web application development experience (ideally full-stack)
