We wish to appoint a Bioinformatics Officer to our core bioinformatics facility to work on a range of breast cancer related projects spanning molecular pathology, functional genomics and genetic epidemiology. The successful individual will be in a key interface position, supporting initiatives to apply next generation sequencing (NGS) such as exome and whole genome sequencing, RNA-seq; microarray, nanoString nCounter and in some circumstances proteomic platform data analysis for the understanding of breast cancer biology. The successful post holder will be responsible for the quality assurance, electronic storage and primary analysis of bioinformatics data generated by numerous projects in breast cancer. The appointment will be on a Fixed Term Contract and will be available for a period of 18 months. The full salary scale is in the range of £31,679 to £42,860 p.a. inclusive, starting salary will be based upon relevance of skills and experience.
